To empower moms to move with confidence, nourish without restriction, and build a sustainable lifestyle that sets a powerful example for the next generation. Through kid-inclusive fitness, nutrition coaching, and a supportive community, we help moms break free from the diet cycle and redefine what strength looks like - for themselves and their families.

My Story

Hi, I’m Shelby — founder of Momentum, certified nutrition coach, personal trainer, women’s health specialist, former college athlete, and most importantly, mom of two busy toddlers.

 

The idea for Momentum was born during one of those beautifully chaotic seasons of early motherhood — where workouts happen between nap schedules, meals are half-eaten, and sleep is never guaranteed. I was juggling nutrition, movement, and self-care through late nights, early mornings, and constant exhaustion.  For years, I cycled through every quick-fix diet and intense program out there, only to end up back where I started.

 

I didn’t want to leave my kids with a stranger just to get in a workout, but I also didn’t want to keep putting myself last - and I knew I wasn’t alone.

 

Moms everywhere juggle so much — health, kids, and self-worth — without support that truly understood them.

 

So, I created Momentum — a space where moms could move with purpose, without the pressure of perfection. A place where strollers and squats could share the same space. Where kids were welcomed, not whisked away. Where moms could show their children that strength comes in many forms — mental, emotional, and physical.

 

Momentum isn’t about chasing a number on the scale or a “bounce-back” body. It’s about creating sustainable habits, freeing yourself from the yo-yo dieting cycle, and finally learning to nourish your body in a way that feels good long-term. Through evidence-based coaching and a supportive community, we’re changing the way moms view fitness and nutrition — making health a family value, not a temporary fix.

 

Because when moms find their momentum, everything else starts to move forward, too.
